At The Grande Hotel we invite our guests to experience the flavours and textures of the Mediterranean and produce menus and products that are reminiscent of the Art Deco era of the 30's and 40's. We pride ourselves in producing our all our preserves, sauces and chutneys onsite using, where possible, the best local produce from the Daylesford and Macedon Ranges region.
In 2008 we began producing EXOTICS, a range of house-made products so that lovers of our food could enjoy the mouthwatering flavours and textures at home.
The Grande Shop stocks EXOTICS which includes a range of delicious preserves, spices and other specialty items.

CHUTNEYS & RELISHES
MILD KASUNDI RELISH -
A flavoursome tomato relish which originated from India which now has that 'Grande' twist. This mild relish is full of flavour with just a hint of chilli. Great with BBQ and roasted meats and is especially good with eggs and bacon.
HOT KASUNDI RELISH -
All the same ingredients as our Mild Kasundi Relish but with double the flavour and an extra 'whammy' of chilli. A deliciously balanced relish for lovers of spicy food.
TOMATO CHUTNEY -
Flavoursome, light and the perfect accompaniment to all things from the BBQ. Serve with cold meats and salads. Especially great with savoury breakfast items
PEAR CHUTNEY
This one is a taste sensation, aromatic, sweet and fantastic with pork and cured meats.
APRICOT CHUTNEY
Spicy, sweet and one of the most versatile accompaniments in our chutney range. Use with cheese and biscuits, cured meats and with spicy indian dishes.
SPECIALTY ITEMS.
AROMATIC DIPPING SAUCE- Sweet & Sour
A Grande favourite that never leaves the menu. An exotic dipping sauce or dressing laced with aromatic spices - ginger, garlic and saffron. Excellent with seafood or as a dipping sauce for deep fried treats.
PRESERVED LEMONS -
Rinse preserved lemons and use the rind only. Use anywhere you would use lemons or lemon juice. Intense zesty lemon for that extra zing in a savoury meal. Great in Moroccan dishes with fish, lamb or chicken. Try in soups, with rice, in cous cous, tagines or salads.
BEETROOT RELISH-
Sweet, seductive and great with roast lamb. Try as an accompaniment with nibbles or mix into a dip base for the perfect summer dip.
HAZELNUT DUKKAH-
Filled with hazelnuts, sesame seeds and aromatic spices. Dip oil soaked crusty bread into Dukkah. Toss through salads for a nutty flavour. Use at breakfast time sprinkled onto soft boiled or poached eggs. Crust the top of a 'meaty' fillet of fish with Dukkah
